Role and Team
Part a team of 4 designers, I worked as a Senior UX designer along with 2 Visual designers and 2 UX designers. We conducted a Design Thinking Workshop with over 40 participants which included associates from Pfizer's drug safety team, HCPs, patients, UX designers and SMEs.
What I did
My responsibilities included conducting the design thinking workshop, understating overall landscape, user research, ideating solutions, prototyping UI, and concept validation.
Following the session, we produced a thorough report with all the materials and insights. Additionally, numerous visual design iterations were produced with the workshop insights in mind.
I had the opportunity to lead a design thinking session, and this helped me develop and expand my UX skills. The website was given the 2020 R&D and Medical (RDM) Quality Award by Pfizer for exhibiting dedication and passion for quality.
As you can see, design thinking offers us a means to think outside the box and also dig that bit deeper into problem-solving. It helps us carry out the right kind of research, create prototypes and test our products and services to uncover new ways to meet our users’ needs.
Working with SMEs is both an art and a science, and not always intuitive. I kept these things in mind during the DT workshop.
- Be prepared.
- Record the session.
- Ask good questions.
- Show Respect.
- Share Results.
Virtual Design thinking workshops are affordable and can include a large number of participants.
